The value based education is a process of growth. To be exact a five fold growth. That is social growth, cultural growth, environmental growth, religious growth & intellectual Growth.
- SOCIAL GROWTH :
Social growth takes place by learning to relate to each
other responsibility and with maturity. That is :
l Education to love
l Education to forgive; Education to peace
l Education to share; Education to care; Education to
democracy
l Education to freedom; Education to social justice
- CULTURAL GROWTH :
Cultural growth takes place when the cultural legacy is
preserved, purified, renovated and transmitted to posterity.
This takes place through ;
- Education to love one’s culture
- Education to respect another’s culture
- Education to understand another’s culture
- Education to find out the values in another’s culture
- Education to share cultural values with others
- Education to create value based cultural customs
- ENVIRONMENTAL GROWTH :
Environmental growth will take place only when we realise that we too make up the environment. We are not an entity outside the environment. Preserving the environment is equal to preserving our own lives. To achieve this, the
following is a must;
- Education to know the surroundings
- Education to leam about flora and fauna of the locality
- Education to respect the flora and fauna of the locality
- Education to preserve and enrich the environment
- INTELLECTUAL GROWTH :
The Intellectual growth is based on our fundamental belief that every child is meritorious. Spotting and nurturing talent is our commitment. And therefore imbibing them with a positive attitude, life, skills and academic excellence are an integral part of our commitment towards the intellectual growth of every child.
- RELIGIOUS GROWTH :
Religion shows the path traced out by God-filled men and women to reach God. Religion is “dharma” or a devout expression of a group of people following a “Guru” (master) to reach the Supreme Being or Supreme Spirit or Cosmic Consciousness. To achieve this the following is needed.
- Education to respect all religions
- Education to have faith in the creator who cares for all
- Education to realise that we are all God’s children
- Education to praise and thank the Creator in all vicissitudes of life.
SOCIAL WELFARE SCHEME (SWS)
The aim of SWS of St. Vincent Pallotti School is to promote loving Service in action. Hence every child is encouraged to contribute generously a portion of his/her personal collection through self sacrifice with the knowledge and consent of their parents. Besides the money that would be spent for their Birthday Celebrations could be deposited in the Social Welfare Fund. Therefore distribution of any valuable things are not permitted in the school. This we hope will guide the child to grow from his/her little self to higher and higher spheres.
